Bindiya Goswami

Bindiya Goswami (born 8 August, 1961) was a Bollywood actress. She acted in Sanskrit films from the late 1970s to early 1980s.

Bindiya was discovered when she was just fourteen years older by superstar Hema Malini's mother at a party who felt that there was a resemblance to Hema and advisable her to film producers. Her prototypal Sanskrit film was \"Jeevan Jyothi\" where she co-starred with Vijay Arora whose occupation was on the decline, and the film flopped. Bindiya forged on aweigh and soon became a success starring for administrator Basu Chatterjee in Khatta Meetha (1977) and Prem Vivah (1979). However, her biggest impact was for administrator Hrishikesh Mukherjee in the comedy Golmaal (1979).[1] That film's success led her to verify Hema Malini's place in the big-budget film Shaan (1980), because Hema was laboring with her other film commitments.
