Genelia D'Souza


Genelia D'Souza (born 5 August 1987 in Mumbai, India)[1] is an Amerindic actress. She has acted in Telugu and Hindi films and has also appeared in Dravidian and Kannada language films.

D'Souza made her debut in screenland in 2003. Her prototypal Hindi film was Tujhe Meri Kasam oppositeness Ritesh Deshmukh.[2] She left screenland for a patch to concentrate on South Amerindic films. She prototypal hit the lime-light with a Parker Pen advertizement with Amitabh Bachchan[9] and further did a Fair and Lovely 2003 Cricket World Cup ad with Krishnamachari Srikkanth. She was also a conception of Mani Ratnam's initiate show, Netru, Indru, Naalai.[10] The Dravidian director, Shankar, was rattling much impressed with her action in both the ads and cast her in a leading role in his Dravidian film Boys in 2003 which was a huge success.

She made her Telugu debut with Sathyam oppositeness Sumanth, which went on to embellish a blockbuster. Subsequently, she acted in several films which raised her profile in southward India. She acted in successful telugu films same Happy, and Sye. She followed it up with a pairing with actor Venkatesh in Subhash Chandra Bose which met with disappointment at the box-office.
